After School Activities
The PTA has lined up an exciting assortment of afterschool activities for this year.  We plan to offer two afterschool classes this fall, KidzArt and Abrakadoodle.  Watch for registration forms coming home in Friday folders.

Beaver Store
At Bollman Bridge, our students receive beaver bucks for a job well done. The Beaver Cart is their chance to spend those bucks on an assortment of fun and educational items.

Cultural Arts
We are excited about the cultural arts program at BBES. It is a program that brings many different cultural arts experiences right to our children. We will be doing several school wide events, as well as more personal events for each grade. Be sure to listen to your children as they come home with stories of wonderful things that they learn from these events.

Fall Fundraisers
We kick off the year with our fall fundraiser! Most of our program funding will come from this fundraiser.

Family Fun
The goal of the Family Fun Committee is to bring families together for fun, interactive events throughout the school year. Generally, the Family Fun committee plans four family-oriented events each school year. Historically those events have been the Back-To-School Picnic in September, Oktoberfest, a winter event in January and a Spring event. Costs for these events are minimal and the fees collected help pay for the events.

Membership
Become part of the TEAM....Join the PTA!

Anyone, PTA member or not, can volunteer to make Bollman Bridge more effective in the education of ALL our kids. Joining the PTA, however, sends a clear message of commitment to not only your own child, but to our administration, as well as the county and state Board of Education for our school. Our school does not profit much financially from our membership drive. Fundraising is not, and should never be, the PTA's primary motivation. Our school's main profit comes in the form of all those parents/family members who pledge to make a difference in the lives of the children at our school by giving of their brains, work, and time. The more involvement we have as a PTA, the more we can do together to make Bollman Bridge a great school for ALL the kids who attend. So if you are honest with yourself about the amount of time you have to give, we will honor you by finding tasks that reflect that availability.  And by joining, you get great discounts for your family (Barnes & Noble, Southwest Airlines, etc).

Memory Book
Every year, we put together a memory book that highlights your child's school year. There are class and teacher pictures, recaps of events during the year, and plenty of room for friends to sign at the end of year family fun celebration.

Newsletter
Look for the PTA newsletter three times this year. We will include information about things that are going on, and things to come this school year.

Reflections
Still don’t know what Reflections is? Check this out:  Enter any work of art done by YOU, either inside or outside of school. That means a film, a photograph, a poem or story, a piece of artwork, or an original dance! You can win prizes, have your name or work displayed in the memory book and the community, go on to compete with other schools, cities, and even states, and have a GREAT TIME doing it.

All participants will receive a participation award. Winners will receive prizes, have their work or names on display in the community and this year's memory book, and their work will be sent on to the regional competition.

Spring Auction
Each spring, we hold an auction to raise money for our PTA. This is a great opportunity to mingle with parents and staff while supporting a great cause!

Staff Appreciation
This committee puts together luncheons, dinners and special events to show our appreciation to the staff of Bollman Bridge Elementary School for all of their hard work year round. If you would like to get in on the fun please contact the committee chair and help us celebrate our staff with style!

Wellness
This new Committee has been established to to accomplish three major goals: (1) Establish a plan for getting trees planted on the playgrounds to provide our children optional shelter from mid-day sun (2) Establish a Nutrition Education program for teaching our children how to make healthy food choices (3) Establish an Exercise Program during recess that rewards our children for making the decision to incorporate regular exercise into their lives.

Volunteering

The PTA is always in need of volunteers. If you would like to volunteer on a committee, please email the committee chair. Your help is always welcome!
